A group of human rights activists under the name of team “documenting violations against the Palestinians around the world,” issued a press release calling many official and human rights Turkish and Palestinian authorities to work for ending the suffering of displaced Palestinians in Turkey.
The statement called Turkish presidency and government to work in order to regulate the entry and the arrival of Palestinian refugees fleeing from the hell of the Syrian war to Turkish territory, whether from Syria or from all other countries through official entry visa to protect them without risk to flee across the border, as the statement called for” holding shooters at the border accountable “.
The statement appealed all Turkish, Syrian, Palestinian, and international human rights organizations to put pressure to stop refugee rights violation in general and Palestinian refugees displaced from Syria in Turkey in particular by the Turkish border guards and the army, and to put pressure on the Turkish authorities to allow them entering to Turkish territory safely.”
The statement also appealed the PLO and the PA, represented by its embassy in Ankara, to shoulder its responsibility towards Palestinian refugees fleeing from the Syrian war, by giving them official passports to facilitate and regulate their entry, as well as to put pressure on the Turkish authorities in this regard, in order to improve the legal treatment with Palestinian refugees displaced from Syria.
Moreover, the statement called on Hamas to work in order to improve the legal status of displaced Palestinians from Syria, both arrivals to Turkey or who are in any country and are trying to get a visa to enter Ankara, through put pressure on this file strongly, in order to protect Palestinians of Syria of continuous death while escaping from war and conflict in search of a decent life.
In addition, it called the General Authority for refugees in the Syrian interim government to put pressure on the Syrian National Coalition for the revolutionary and the opposition forces in order to improve the legal situation of Palestinians of Syria into Turkey, and to work to facilitate the access of Palestinians of Syria of getting entry visas to Turkey similarly as Syrian brothers.
Meanwhile, activists put responsibility at all previously mentioned Parties for the consequences of not taking urgent moves towards Palestinian refugees displaced from Syria, owning to the disasters that would be added to previous disasters that befell these refugees.
It is worth mentioning that the statement also included a series of violations that were documented by activists and committed by the Turkish authorities against Palestinian and Syrian refugees, according to the statement.
