The strict siege negatively affected those families and most of them lost their source of income due to war and siege. According to the AGPS correspondent that most of those families don’t get any aid and some of them break their fast with soup and if any family was able to by one Kilo rice they would eat from it for several days. The families also complain that they don’t get the UNRWA relief aid due to the spread of snipers in case they reached the UNRWA headquarters at Damascus, which don’t distribute at Eastern Ghouta.
