Aid packages handed out to Palestinian-Syrian families in Baalbek and Al-Burj Al-Shemali, in Lebanon

The Beit Atfal Assumoud Charity, in cooperation with the Spanish Catalana organization, distributed on November 8 and 9 some 500 food parcels to Palestinian refugee families displaced from Syria and taking shelter in Al-Burj Al-Shemali Camp, in southern Lebanon.
Food boxes were also distributed by the aid organization on November 10 to the Palestinian-Syrian refugee families in the eastern Lebanese city of Baalbek.
According to UNRWA figures, 42,500 Palestinian refugees fleeing war-torn Syria have been taking shelter in Lebanon. Unofficial statistics estimated the number has decreased to 33,000 refugees.
