Syrian warplanes bombed the town of Al Muzareibin the province Daraa southern Syria which is home to about8500 Palestinian refugees. The warplanes dropped two explosive barrels which resulted in a number of casualties among civilians, and caused fear and panic among residents who are living in a state of tension and lack of stability because of the continued targeting and the explosive car bombs that killed many people. It was stated that on 10/2/ 2014 Mazirab town was targeted with an explosive barrel near “Traan” UNRWA school and led to the injury of about 40 students In addition to four of the school staff.
On 18/2/2014, a horrific massacre was committed in Muzeireeb due to the explosive barrels shelling that targeted Ein Al ZAitoun UNRWA School and its health clinic during the presence of the students inside the school, which led to a fall of more than 15 Palestinian victims.
