UNRWA announced that it will implement regional standards for food aid in Lebanon starting from April 2015. It clarified that every displaced Palestinian from Syria in Lebanon and who is qualified for this aid will grant 40.00 LP.
This procedure came as a result of the difficult living conditions lived by the Palestinians of Syria in Lebanon as they complain of stressful economic crises as a result of widespread of unemployment among them and the lack of a steady income, in addition to their unstable legal status in Lebanon due to the laws established by the Lebanese authorities.
It is worth mentioning that UNRWA suspended its cash aid to 1100 Palestinian Syrian families since October 2014.
